GERARD DICONZA received his legal training at the boutique bankruptcy firm of Togut, Segal & Segal LLP and in the bankruptcy and restructuring department of Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan LLC. Gerry was debtor's counsel in the Chapter 11 cases of SK Global America, OnSite Access, Joan & David, Ames Department Stores and Allegiance Telecom and represented the creditors' committees in the cases of Jacom Computers and Regus Business Services. Gerry also represented individual creditors and bondholders in bankruptcy cases and out of court restructurings. In 2005, Gerry established DiConza Law, P.C. where he grew his general bankruptcy practice. Gerry is a founding member of DiConza Traurig Kadish LLP. His practice focuses on bankruptcy law, debtor and creditor rights and out of court restructuring.

Gerry received a B.B.A. in 1991 from Hofstra University and a J.D. with honors in 1994 from St. John's University School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review. Gerry received an LL.M. in corporate law from New York University School of Law in 1998. After graduating from law school, Gerry served as law clerk to the Honorable Jeremiah E. Berk, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of New York.

Gerry is an Adjunct Professor of Bankruptcy, Workouts & Reorganizations at the New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
